LGBT Ukrainians are massively engaged in resistance to the full-scale Russian invasion. There has been a sharp increase in the number of soldiers refusing to hide their LGBT orientation. Nevertheless, repression and marginalisation continues. Mobilisation of those officially classified as male and the restriction on emigration of men under 50 years old created particular challenges for trans women.
