You give us corruption, we give you revolution!

Despite the war, despite the risks, people are taking to the streets. Because they have had enough.

On 22 July, in the streets of Kyiv and most cities across Ukraine, hundreds of people took to the streets to protest against the adoption of Law 12414.

This law, which strips the NABU [National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine] of its independence and places it under the authority of the Attorney General, is not a simple ‘reform’. It is a signal: those in power want to bring the entire anti-corruption sector under their control and remove even the last vestiges of accountability.

Admittedly, NABU is not perfect. It has had to act under pressure from public opinion and the international community. But without even limited autonomy, it would not have been able to touch high-ranking officials close to power. And it is precisely this possibility that is now being removed.

At the same time, under the slogan of ‘renewal’, the new government is launching a counter-revolution from above:

This is not ‘developing entrepreneurship’, but legalising uncontrolled exploitation.

All this is not a response to the demand for change, but a cynical response to it.

On the streets, you hear:

— Parasitic MPs are preventing the people from living!

— Corruption kills, both at the front and at the rear!

We demand the abolition of everything that allows those close to power to steal with impunity, both at the rear and at the front.

We are for:
